This website is designed, written, edited and maintained by Sid Thomas, with support from Helen Ougham.  It uses Microsoft FrontPage 2003 and is hosted by Zen.

Cai Durbin helped with the original layout and I'm grateful to Suzy Shipman for continued advice and the nice breadcrumb script.  But mostly I'm a self-taught webbist and any inaccuracies, deviations from best practice or lapses of taste in design or content are my responsibility.

Most of the images on the site are home-grown or provided by friends and colleagues.  I have included some scans of published material and some images from other websites, for illustrative purposes only.

My site is completely non-profitmaking and is meant purely for education and entertainment.  It is not my wish to offend or to deny anybody's rights to his or her own intellectual property.  If you have a grievance, for heaven's sake contact me direct and leave the lawyers out of it - I'm really a pretty decent sort of chap and you and I need our money more than the ambulance-chasers do.

The whole idea of the site is to share my interests with whoever is kind enough to visit, but please be reasonable about what you do with what you find.  Kindly respect my rights concerning the original material here and do not use it for any creative, commercial or other exploitative purpose without first discussing it with me.  You'll find me receptive to good ideas for putting site content to further use.
