| What is SenNet? |
SenNet is an international community of scientists carrying out
fundamental and applied research, teaching and public engagement
activities on the common theme of senescence, post-harvest biology,
programmed cell death and other terminal processes in plant development
and adaptation. SenNet organises an annual conference (to date
these have been held in Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden),
supports laboratory exchanges and other collaborations, prepares
consortium funding applications and promotes joint publications.
Although the network started as a European initiative, membership is
open to any interested scientist or group and currently includes
researchers from around the world, including from New Zealand, South
America, USA, Korea and Israel. Material from the old SenNet website can be viewed here. |
