Sound control

Sounds are provided by softsynths, extensive sample libraries and a number of outboard modules, notably Roland JV1010, Sound Canvas and MT32, Korg X5 and Zoom RT123 drum machine.  Other useful gadgets include JamMan loop sampler, Zoom 1201 FX unit and Alesis 3630 Compressor.

The midi controller keyboard is a Roland FP8 – yes, I know it’s almost a museum piece, but it still works like a charm, and I just love the timelessly classic soft-techno design.  I also sometimes use the Korg X5 as a controller, mostly if I need pitchbend or modulation.  For reeds-type articulation I use a Yamaha wind controller.
